With two of the founders of Blue Planet having a lifetime spent around cars, events and the people that love both, it is hardly surprising that we have been asked to create one-off events for our clients in famous locations.

When asked to plan a month long series of events for a wealthy major league sports team owner in Europe to celebrate the launch of his new 168 foot Fedship, we knew exactly what the flagship moments should be - the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Formula One Race.

By establishing partnerships with the leading new film of that year and one of the top Formula One teams, we were able to offer our client a level of access that would simply never be open to almost anyone. We hosted VIP parties on board in each location for celebrities and sponsor guests and in return we had red carpet treatment all over town!

So you own a fabulous automobile … now what? Enjoying the camaraderie of an exclusive owners club and experiencing a fun weekend together made for an unforgettable event in Naples last year. The Ferrari Club asked us to create an owners weekend that was exclusive by design and which offered the participants the chance to do things they would normally never get to do.

Aside from staying at the Ritz Carlton in Naples, where all the guests enjoyed fine food and wine, including a gala dinner, it was on the road that they truly lived it up. Following successful completion of a themed treasure hunt, all the participants ended up at the Naples Airport where we had a runway closed for our driving activities. By the time high speed drag races and the car control autocross were over, we almost had to drag the owners back to the hotel!

Every car manufacturer realizes the value of maintaining the relationship with an existing product owner, so the objective must be to make them proud that they are one. It can be as simple as an ‘Owners Club’ experience where they get to see what their own car can really do, or a chance to showcase future products.
